MTS
is one of the newest players in the mobile networks segment in India.
It has announced launch of three new phones for Indian markets. All
three phones are priced between Rs. 4,999 and Rs. 13,500. The main
feature of these phones is that they are Internet and social networking
friendly.
The three new handsets by MTS are called Buzz, Alive and Ivory respectively.
MTS Alive: Alive is an OEM device and is manufactured
by ZTE. It is a touch screen handset that features a 2.8-inch display
and contains a 1.3 megapixel camera. It provides support for various
social networking websites. It is also capable of browsing the Internet
at speed of up to 3.1Mbps.
The Alive is priced at Rs. 6,000.

MTS Buzz: Buzz
is actually a Micromax device from inside. This is a dual SIM device
with a 2.4-inch display. MTS Buzz too is very social networking
friendly. It has a standard 1.3 megapixel camera. This phone supports
expandable memory. It has QWERTY keypad makes it good phone for
messaging and e-mailing. This handset is targeted at young professionals
and college students.
The Buzz is priced at Rs. 4,999.

MTS Ivory: This
is actually a re-branded Fly handset. Like Alive and Buzz, this is also
social networking ready. The Ivory is smart phone that is based on
Windows Mobile. It supports Microsoft Exchange Push email. This touch
screen phone has a 3.2-inch screen. This new handset supports Bluetooth
with A2DP for wireless Stereo Music Streaming. The Ivory has a 2
megapixel camera with support for Video Recording. It also supports
expandable memory up to 4GB.
The Ivory is priced at Rs. 13,500.
